The Finnish Government is directing €300 million to educational projects and competence development in order to meet the challenges of the future. New learning environments with digital learning content and tools will be integrated in primary school increasingly. This will renew the pedagogy and also serve as a takeoff for lifelong learning. In this spirit teacher-training will be complemented with the main goal that all pupils will receive education that is founded on modern technology and modern work-methods in school. Young peoples’ efforts to get into the labour market will be bridged by flexible education where online learning is one strong driving-force.
