How can students’ best be educated in the 21st Century? To explore this subject profoundly the project Year of Learning starting with an event October 2 at Stanford. The project is hosted by the Office of the Vice Provost for Teaching and Learning. The project is a year-long series of events and initiatives for the Stanford community in order to find new innovative solutions of how to improve education at the university. Three related themes will appear during the year: 1. Advancing the art and science of teaching and learning in higher education. 2. The changing ecology and demography of higher education. 3.
