The travel industry has a loyalty problem, when choosing which services to use, the brand is often far from the top of the list. To make the brand more important and to find methods to gain new customers Lufthansa and Swissair has joined together in a project called Guesstinations. This is an app that through Google’s Cardboard device that delivers a 360° experience with images from Google Streetview from 60 destination in a quiz-style game. When the traveller in this virtual world arrives to a place they are asked to guess the region and the city in order to earn points. The prizes include e.g. free flights and iPhones. However, at the moment, this service is only available for travel agents, but Lufthansa and Swissair hope to be able to launch the service to the public soon. Source: Media Update
