“Talk to Books” is a new form of search where you ask questions and Google’s AI reads and selects small pieces of different books that produce the answer. This is a new kind of search where using sentences will in most cases get better results than using keywords, since the AI is trained to understand human conversations. It handles everything from more trivial questions to global problem. The library that the AI is collecting the answer from is in 100 000 books in Google Books. “Talk to Books” is at the moment in an experimental stage and is open for everybody to try out. One can wonder if Jorge Luis Borges that wrote the short story “The Library of Babel”, a place, a library that includes all of the world’s knowledge, ever could have imagined this outcome?
