The term means software with open source code, which means that it is free to modify for everybody. It is also a reborn market perspective, where the market is no longer a goal for standardised products, but a forum for value generating processes. The market has again become a place where buyer and seller meet in an interplay in order to satisfy both parts preferences. This is also a mentality where the raw material is for free, while the buyer pays for the work to satisfy her individual preferences.
